ORIGIN STORY

BolsterArts was founded with a mission to put artists at the heart of every conversation—from negotiations to public programming. Recognizing the challenges that visual artists face in navigating their careers, we set out to bridge the gap, offering tailored support to galleries, institutions, collectors, and museums. Our goal is to amplify the artist’s voice and ensure their perspective is considered every step of the way.

Our 2025 inaugural BolsterArts Residency is designed to provide direct, meaningful support to artists. Two selected artists will have the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in their practice for three and a half months, with their residency culminating in a two-person exhibition at All Street Gallery in the East Village. We understand the importance of longer, more sustained residencies that not only provide time and space but also guarantee a platform to showcase the resulting work. By offering a rent-free studio space and a secured exhibition, we aim to alleviate the financial stress of studio costs, allowing artists to focus entirely on their creative process, knowing that their work will be shared with a wider audience.
